Nagarjuna and Amala .He is grandson of actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao and Naga Chaitanya is his elderhalf-brother. 
Akhil Akkineni engaged  Shirya Bhupal engagement on December 9,2016 in Italy. she is the  grand daughter of GVK Group’s head GVK Reddy.
                          Akhil Akkineni  has done his initial schooling at Chaitanya Vidyalaya, then studied in  Australia for two years.After returning to India, he completed his schooling at Oakridge International School, Hyderabad.
